Jules is the sweetest of all the Nanking’s. And interestingly enough, it seems to be just as cold hardy if not mores than the red Nanking’s. Some of these were left out in pots all winter long without any protection of the roots. Only the native trees and trees we breed specifically to resist the negative effects of their roots freezing can withstand this. White Nanking meanwhile seemed to come back stronger, with no noticeable root tissue frost damage. Hardy to zone 2, plant with Ian for pollination.

These are larger 1.5-2.5 ft. tall and older. These were dug out of the ground in Fall 2021 and potted up, continually air pruned in pots.
