Hailing from the Nova Scotia research station in the early 80’s, Nova is dependable and continually bears year after year if taken care of with pruning back the older canes. Nova, Boyne, and Polana are the most cold hardy of all the red raspberries we have tried, and given their flavor and ability to withstand high, dry winds and super low temps, these are the only red raspberry varieties that we are currently offering. Also the go-to on the Canadian prairie where they see -40F or more. Hardy to zone 2.
