Mirabelle de Bitterroot Plum (Bundle of 2)
Mirabelle de Bitterroot Plum (Bundle of 2)
from $69.99
If anyone has ever been to Europe and tried Mirabelle plums there, then these genetics are the most comparable, but for cold climate growers. The mother plants were discovered growing in the wild by Luke in the Bitterroot mountains of Montana. He propagated them and has named them Mirabelle de Bitterroot. The plums are roughly the same size as the French Mirabelle’s and have a very similar sweet, jammy flavor. Some notes of apricot and honey. These are hardy down to -35F, if not even hardier, as the mother trees of these roots have survived or over 60 years and have seen intense Fall frosts, mid winter lows, and our generally tough Montana cold.
