Cold Hardy Blueberry Bundle (Bundle of 4)

$59.99

We will have a bundle of blueberries for Spring 2025, and will be adding other varieties by 2nd week fo November once we get done grading the other varieties. The varieties in this bundle include Chippewa, a cross between the more commercial high bush, which lacks good hardiness but have larger & sweeter berries, and low bush, which are shorter but possess hardiness down to -40F or more and have small berries. Brunswick is a lowbush. Both of these are exceptionally cold hardy, down to zone 3 or colder. Chippewa is capable of surviving -40F or below. The flavor of Chippewa is very sweet with little acid. The quality of the fruit is excellent. Brunswick meanwhile is also capable of surviving down to -35 F. We are using this as a pollenizer for Chippewa because while the shrubs are super cold hardy, the blueberries are a fair bit smaller and don’t have as great of a flavor as Chippewa.

These blueberries must be planted in a mix of 2/3 sphagnum peat moss and the remaining 1/3 native soil and compost. Additional amendments of elemental sulphur should be made if irrigating with groundwater or if growth ceases significantly.

Each Bundle includes 3 Chippewa and 1 Brunswick.

The Spring Chippewa’s are currently 8-12 inches tall, whilst our Spring Brunswick’s are a little smaller at 4-8” tall.
