Cold Hardy Blueberry Bundle (Bundle of 3): Extra Large Grade of Chippewa, Polaris, & St. Cloud

Sale Price:$89.99 Original Price:$99.99

We’re excited to offer this bundle of cold-hardy blueberries, newly added to our site! These are our extra-large grade plants, standing 1–2 feet tall, with most closer to 2 feet or taller. Many of these plants will bear fruit within the next year—and some might even produce this season!

Included Varieties

This bundle includes three half-high blueberry varieties, all bred by the University of Minnesota for exceptional cold-climate adaptability, flavor, and productivity:

Chippewa

  • The only one of the three we've fruited ourselves

  • Flavor: Mellow, sweet, with wild blueberry character and a tart finish

  • Texture: Great firmness

  • Notes: Considered the most productive of all Minnesota-bred blueberries

Polaris

  • Flavor: Described as aromatic, with a firm texture

  • Still awaiting our own fruiting experience

  • University of Minnesota recommends it as a top performer in northern climates

St. Cloud

  • Flavor: Reported to be very sweet

  • Ripening time: Early-season

  • Not yet fruited in our trials but highly regarded in breeding literature

Cold Hardiness

All three varieties are reliably hardy to at least -40°F with no winter injury—making them excellent choices for growers in extreme cold climates (Zone 3 and colder).

Soil & Planting Requirements

For best results, plant in a mix of:

  • 2/3 sphagnum peat moss

  • 1/3 native soil and compost

If you're irrigating with groundwater or notice significant slowing of growth, consider applying elemental sulfur to maintain soil acidity and promote healthy root development.

What's Included

  • 1 Chippewa

  • 1 St. Cloud

  • 1 Polaris

  • All plants are 1–2 ft. tall XL grade, ready to thrive in your garden
