This tree is not technically native to Montana (the closest is eastern ND) but is not listed elsewhere on the website. These trees are extremely hardy and produce pretty white flowers in the Spring. After their first winter freeze, the fruits are edible raw or cooked. They can be used to make pie and jelly. Will reach roughly 30 ft. at maturity. Hardy to zone 3 or possibly even zone 2.

Tree are 3-4 ft. tall and have good root systems with lots of fibrous root hairs.
