John's Elderberry (Bundle of 2)
John's Elderberry (Bundle of 2)
$59.99
John’s produce larger elderberries with more vigor. The fruit ripens about two weeks later than Adams, which should be planted nearby, although North American Black Elderberry can also pollenize John’s. Very little maintenance. Giant clusters of white flowers bloom in spring, becoming soft, nearly black berries in late summer. Both the elderflowers and the ripe elderberries are edible. Cold-hardy. Ripens near the end of August. Hardy to zone 3.
These shrubs are smaller, about 6-12” tall, but they’re potted transplants (not field grown) and therefore have lots of fine root hairs.
