Loaded with antioxidants and vitamin C, these red currants possess mouth watering, tangy/sweet red berries in the summer. One of the first fruits in the garden, they can be used for culinary purposes or as a topping on your favorite dessert. Mature red currant shrubs in our climate get about 5-6 ft. tall maximum. An ornamental shrub that produces tasty fruit. Or an edible shrub that is also ornamental. An edimental. Suitable down to zone 2 (-40F or more), these will do well in all parts of Montana.
