This is our second year growing Ben Lomand currants and we were actually able to taste the fruit already. The fruit is quite good, perhaps the sweetest of all black currants we have ever tried. These will be far less sweet than the Montana Black Currants, although that said, we have heard back from some of our customers that apparently the Montana Black Currants make the best jam. These would compliment them quite well (or these could simply be purchased on their own) because of their nice, large, sweet berries. Would likely be great in baked good.

Hardy to -50F, these Ben Lomand currants will be roughly 1-2 ft tall. Very well rooted.
