These wild apricots that we harvested in the hells canyon are very drought tolerant and produce apricots that are a beautiful orange with decent size. The apricots develop nicely on the tree and have a sweet and slightly tangy flavor. They are fairly firm and the size gets to be about 1.5 inches (possibly two inches if there is some thinning of the blossoms). These are prolific and would be great trees that can survive on their own without much attention in droughty soils as the mother tree has been growing for decades without any human care.
