This is the first year we are offering Siberian Crabapple. Siberian Crab has many functions. It could be used in areas where very few other trees can survive. But moreover, it has been one of the favorite rootstocks of Roger Joy for many years. So top work can be done on it (grafting other apples onto more mature parts of the tree), as this has been found an effective way of getting apple varieties to establish themselves with the help of that mother stock. Siberian crabapples are very small but can be used to make a deep, red jelly or used in blending for hard cider. Hardy to below -50F. Probably -60F or more given that this is what Dolgo is hardy to, which is a seedling of Siberian.
