An exciting sport of McIntosh discovered in Comstock Park, Michigan in 1999. It was a chance mutated limb that produced that produced apples with a bright, rich, red blush with no striping, over virtually all of the surface. A true Mac, Rubymac has the same flavor as McIntosh but stays on the tree longer. Preharvest Mcintosh drop days are over! Hardy to zone 3.

These trees are currently 5-7 ft. tall and are grafted onto M7.
